Guiding his clients strategically through the web of legislative and regulatory issues, Beau has played an intricate part in helping pass several referenda in Texas, as well as legislation in the federal government. Prior to joining LPC and founding his company, Beau served as the members outreach director for the Committee on House Administration, which meant promoting the committee to the 247 members of the House Republican Conference, various House committees and leadership to assist with their offices’ day-to-day functions. He also served as a resource for the 2014 freshman Republican members of Congress and their key staff members to facilitate their transitions into office, which included guiding them through the intricacies of running their in-district and Washington offices. Through his experience, Beau developed a keen knowledge of the House rules and the franking rules of mail, and oversaw the workings of U.S. Patent and Trademark office, The Smithsonian Institution, and The Library of Congress.
In addition, Beau served as chief of staff for Congressman Blake Farenthold, on whose behalf he worked with the Judiciary, Transportation, Oversight and Government Reform committees to introduce and pass legislation. He primarily focused on criminal justice reform, the Water and Resources Reform and Development Act, copyright reform, Map 21 (surface transportation legislation), federal employees health benefits, and patent reform. Additionally, he helped establish the first Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Export Caucus and the Texas Ports Caucus.
Beau also served as legislative assistant to both Congressman Bill Flores and Congresswoman Michele Bachmann. In this capacity, he worked on several policy issues including the judiciary, telecommunications, health care, financial services, energy, trade, and veterans affairs.
A native of Dallas, Beau’s roots run deep in the heart of Texas. His enthusiasm for policy and politics stems not only from helping pass state referenda, his door-knocking skills, and his grassroots political campaigning, but also from his service in a number of positions in the Texas legislature, including the post of chief clerk of the House Energy Resources Committee. He also worked as a lobbyist representing some of the largest Fortune 100 companies in America.
Beau holds a Bachelor’s degree in political science from Texas Tech University.
